Aboriginal People

The Maliseet, Mi'kmaq and Passamoqoddy people were the first people to live in the Acadian Forest pior to and after the last ice age over 10,ooo years ago. Europeans arrived some 500 years ago.

Protected Places

The Acadian Forest is home to national & provincial parks, designated protected natural areas and places that are ecologically & culturally sensitive.
